| Alice slowly made her way into the Great Hall wearing her strapless turquoise dress. She opened the doors slowly and tried to make her entrance as quiet and unnoticeable as possible. She quickly scanned the room for Caleb. He wasn't there yet. He's probably still getting ready, she thought. She sank into one of the floating armchairs and got comfortable. This is Alice's dress

| Caleb's Suit
Truth was, Caleb was already at the ball. He had already made the rounds - talked to a friend, got a drink, danced with another friend. So he was well settled when he laid eyes on his date - at long last, he thought. He was beginning to worry that she wasn't coming. Mind you, would she think it rude of him that he didn't actually go to meet her before the dance started?
When Alice came into full view, and Caleb could see her dress, he was stunned.
He went over to her, and stuttered "My god, you look... beautiful. That... wow. That is something else, Alice." | |

| Alice blushed. "Thank you. You look dashing as well."
She looked around at the beautiful hall. There were marvelous floating armchairs, an all-you-can-eat buffet, and the most wonderful dance floor she had ever seen. She couldn't wait to dance, but she only had 30 minutes before she had to go back to the common room for the prank. There were still at least 3 Hufflepuff girls getting ready.

| Caleb smiled, and took her hand. He kissed it the way a gentleman should, the way he did when they first met.

| "Of course," she agreed. She walked with him to the dance floor. There were already a lot of couples there. A nice slow song began to play. It reminded her of a lullaby her mother used to sing her when she was little. She smiled and listened to the melodious music.

| The notes of the new music piece whirled gently through the air, a truly lovely sound to behold. Caleb was a bit nervous about dancing with Alice, but he knew that he should. And he wanted to.
He slipped his hand around her waist, and began dancing.
